I can not wait for competition season for cheer beacuse first of all, I get to go to a different city or state and that is always fun becasue I get to stay in hotels with all the cheerleaders and it is so much fun i cant even. We run down the hallways play hide adm go seek we swim, we tell stories, and just get ot know the whole gym. Second of all, we get to go and socialize with are teammates at the competiton and get to watch all the people perform and the best part of that is I love the feeling of going to competitions about to perform. And third of all, my favorite part is getting ready for the competitons. I just putting on the makeup. You can never put to much on and i love doing our hair puffed with a big bow.

the spell

a few days ago, me and my frineds were at the halloween store because we were all going to be like a theme, and there as this book that had an eye on it and it was looking right at me. I was curious what the book was, so i asked and they were like oh no! you can not  touch hat book or look at it, it is evil and you will get attached to it, like the last person did. That is why it is locked up in this glass case.So then we left and went to kylees house and watched a movie, it was buggung me so bad. I wanted that book, I wanted that book. I thought about it nonstop. Then I could take it anymore I went into the halloween store after school and stole the book and ran home, and thats the last people people saw of me.

Cheez-it ban

I am very disappointed that cheez-its are banned from the cafeteria because they are life and i love them so much. They are a part of me and I have them everyday for lunch. Now I won't eat lunch, and starve to death and die. Then the school will feel really bad and unban cheez-its because of my tragic death, so then it will just be useless for them to ban cheezits because I would already be dead, it won't stop anything. And I will haunt the school forever. And they will never want to ban food again.

why my day is not going well.

My day is going terrible. First of all, today is a game day and we have to wear our uniforms to school, and I have to wear a black tank top underneath my uniform, or I'll get damarets, and it's 3 demarets if I don't wear proper uniform and I already have 7, and it takes 10 to be benched to I have to have it, so my mom has to bring me one. And my stomach hurts because i didn't eat breakfast this morning so im hungry. I also just realized I have a hole in my leggings, so I have to see if Mrs. Jones can sew it. I also didn't get that much sleep last night, so I'm really tired and crabby.

Something I will never forget

The thing I will never forget is all the memories of my friends, parties. I definitally have had a good year at this age, and I will always miss going to friends houses and have a great time all the friends I love so much. I honestly HOPE I know them and still talk to them in high school, well some of them. I hope in high school I can have them to be there for me. I all of them won't, but some definatly will. I will never get the parties with my friends that are so much fun, and I hope there the same in high school.

All About Me

The Notification

This morning on the beach in Ksinski island, I was with the squad just chillin' like a villian, then, Kaite and I got the notification that everyone dreads getting. It was the "your i phone is less than 10%" me and Kaite were on a mission to get the last i phone charger on the beach because both our phones were at 2%. We were flipping through the air, and yelling out like wild animals. I wanted that charger so bad were getting closer to the beach house and then, It was gone. and my phone was dead and Kaite was mysteriously gone.

9/11 thoughts

9/11 was when the twin towers got bombed by terrorists. I'm not sure why they did, but I I think they did it for there religion. But it is still wrong I think. to come over to a different country, and bomb something that is something that is famous in our country. It's uncalled for.

why I dont like Picture day

I do not like picture day because I have to get all dressed u for some picture that will look terrible no matter what. Even if it don't look bad, I still think it will because im put under so much pressure from myself worrying to much. I absolutely do not think we should take it front of people at school because that makes me more anxious and worry more about it, so it ends up looking bad, and I don't like retakes either because it's the same thing. They also put it in a year book that everyone gets, and then everyone sees it. I really am not looking forward to it at all.

Cheerleading practice conflict

This year I am in two types of cheer leading. I'm in school cheer leading and competitive cheer leading. School cheer is every Monday through Thursday after school till 4:30. Then I have competitive cheer on Tuesday's and Sunday's. On Tuesdays I have it from 8:00 till 9:30 and on Sunday's I have cheer from 4:00 till 5:30. So I barely have anytime to hang out with friends do my home work. It is very hard to keep up with everything. But I love cheer, so I think it's worth it.
Cheer GIFs FTW, She got this to a solid triple last practice :)

My Puppy

About four months ago my mom found a Facebook post on a cute little black puppy that was found wandering around the streets. My mom automatically wanted the dog, but my dad felt we already had a dog and we didn't need another one. But then on Valentines day, my dad surprised my mom with the puppy she wanted! Now Nigel is around six months, the vets guess, and is one wild puppy! We have been taking him to puppy training classes for more than two months now, and Nigel is getting better at being the best puppy!

Things That Bother me

One thing that bothers me is when people are two faced. It really gets on my nerves when someone can act a certain way then act a different way when they talk to someone else. Some of my friends act two faced sometimes, they tell me something then they go around telling other people a different story. I think that if someone feels a certain way they should express that in the same way towards everyone that they might talk to after they talk to you. Being two faced is not a good trait to have and someone who does have that trait really needs to think about improving their way of not being two faced.

The City Museum

The City Museum is absolutely nothing like it sounds like, it sounds like it would be a boring museum with dinosaur bones, ancient artifacts, and all that educational stuff. However, the City Museum is a humongous 12 or so story building with something fun to explore on each level. On the first floor there are little holes and caves in the walls that you can climb in and climb on. If you see a hole in the wall most likely it was put there for you to crawl trough and come out on the other side to find more caves! So City Museum is a great place to bring your family!

Kid Nation Ep. 6

Social Exchange -  Since Taylor was not reelected for the town council she was being bitter to Zach about being a town council member. Zach was elected to be on the town council so that means he has to wake up early. When Zach was ringing the bell to wake up the town Taylor got annoyed. She walked out to Zach and said she wanted to give stress to hi, since he gave stress to her, she claims.

Coercion-  Taylor did not contribute to the plan to burry the trash like the town council planned her to do. Instead Taylor decided to run away from all of the problems and not do the labor everyone else had to do. The council then decided to give Taylor and Leila , Taylor's best  friend , a harsh punishment to maybe make them realize it would have been easier to do the labor in the first place. Taylor was then given the punishment to carry the water from the water spout to the tank. However, Taylor still threw a fit over the labor and refused to do the work the town council expected of her.

Authority -  The new town council consists of a new leader on the red team and the yellow team. Zach replaced Taylor in the yellow district, and guylan replaced mike in the red district. These were the new members of the town council and some people didn't agree with that. However, since taylor was not a leader the town has been running more smoothly. Bonanza is running better with different leaders.

Kid Nation ep.5

In-Group -  Taylor and a few other girls from the yellow group continue to slack off of their job and sleep in. These girls believe that they are above everyone else however everyone else believes that these girls are at a equal playing field. There was then a reelection and a lot of people were against Taylor being a leader for Bonanza city anymore. Taylor has continually showed slack during this whole period. Hopefully Taylor gets voted out to be a council member so bonanza will run better.

Conflict- Since the town is having a reelection a person from each group is running against their leader. All of the people who are running against their leader have given a speech and the speeches have caused conflicts between the groups. Taylor still getting a chance to be elected has caused conflicts too, for example a boy from red district tore down one of Taylor's posters in rage of Taylor being a bad leader. Many believe that these conflicts are ruining the town. However, Taylor not being elected has caused less conflicts.

Group Boundary - The pay that the pioneers receive divides the groups up. For example the upper class gets $1.00 a day and the laborers only get 10 cents a day. This causes differences not only financial but it also causes people to think they are better than the group just because of their pay. The upper class is most likely entitled to think this then the lower classes. Another group boundary is popularity, some pioneers think they are better because of their popularity instead of how they are participating in running the town.

Kid Nation Ep.4

Social Structure -  There are multiple religions in Bonanza that certain people study. This is causing many arguments and separations, yet this problem isn't causing anyone to try to solve the issue. The town journal is a book the town council follows to run bonanza, meaning when the journal mentioned religion the town council found it necessary to bring religion into the town. Despite their differences the town really came together to pray around the fire one night. All the pioneers found something in common to bring the town together despite the major religion differences.

Obligation- The pioneers are all given certain jobs to do around the town. However, many yellow teams refuse to do their job when they are cooks. This causes issues because food is a very important part of running the town. Most pioneers fulfill their tasks by completing chores necessary to running the town. The yellow team consistently earns the cooking spot, meaning their job is most likely not going to be done.

Role - Each week the pioneers compete in a challenge to decide their classes that they will be put into. The weekly challenges usually are physical challenges that have to include everyone all ages and all different social groups. If all pioneers participate in their group to help win the challenge they are given a certain role. The team who works the most and finishes first wins the top role, upper class where they don't have anything to work for. The following roles are merchants, cooks, and then labors who have to do all the dirty work like clean the bathrooms.

The Poorest President

The poorest president is obviously very generous. This president only gets a small salary of $12,500, witch he gives 90% of his salary to charity. This thoughtful act that he gives leaves him with only $1,250 for himself. Most people would be way too selfish to donate that much money to charity and very little for himself. It would be very nice if every person thought about others in this way, sadly many people wouldn't commit to this change.

My 5 Day Weekend

This weekend was a very fun weekend, but man did it fly by fast! On Thursday I went bowling with my cousins, then ate lunch with them. On Friday I went to my grandma's house then that night I went to kylie's party, my best friend. On Saturday I was tired from the party so I went to my grandmas house while my dad fixed up his car. Saturday night I stayed up and watched SNL with my dad. Sunday morning I woke up and went for a run, after that I went to my grandmas to have a Easter egg hunt. On Monday my mom brother and I met my dad in St. Louis to eat lunch. I had a pretty good weekend.

Kid Nation 3

Formal Sanctions -  The town council rewards and somewhat punishes the pioneers. Each week all the children strive to do their best, so they can earn the golden star. The golden star is a reward that is a solid gold star that is worth 20 thousand dollars in real money! Sometimes this reward gets to the pioneers' heads by making them do whatever it takes to earn the star. Since Greg is the oldest he tends to strive the most, but he usually ends up failing and receiving negative comments. Formal sanctions can be negative, like when Greg woke up the town by rolling on them , the town reacted in a very negative way.

Desocializations -   The pioneers have had trouble relaxing at night, going to sleep , and waking up early. This has caused the town council to make a rule that everyone must be in bed at 9:30 every single night, and wake up around 7:00 every morning. The children were used to having a guardian to watch them when they are at home, the power of being by themselves made them feel like they could stay up all night and sleep in all day. This is one of the many ways the pioneers have had to give up something during this experience. Many of the pioneers are used to getting food when they want it, usually waking up when they want, and not cleaning up after themselves. These are some ways the children were experiencing desocializations.

Reference Group -   The pioneers are typically used to a parent or guardian to look after them , so when they are by themselves surrounded by children order is very necessary. The town council was made to create order, laws, and something for the children to look up to. Sometimes the pioneers feel that since they are relative in age to the town council they shouldn't have to listen to them. Some of the younger children do use the town council as a reference group, this is key to running a town so that the children have a figure to look up to and some what even to be scared of. This might be difficult when one of the oldest pioneers, Greg , feels he is in charge.

Kid Nation Ep. 2

Values- Some children believed that killing a chicken for meat was barbaric, cruel, and mean. There for, Some controversy was created in the decision to eat meat to end their meals of canned food. The end decision was to butcher some chickens to feast on them for dinner. Some children couldn't deal with the slaughter of the chickens , while others couldn't wait for the delicious food. The end result was everyone was enjoying the chicken, except for a girl who was sad because of the killing of the chicken.

Society- The children are all living in a group called a society. The town is divided into four societies, upper class, merchants, cooks, and laborers. These classes are decided by showdowns, a difficult challenge for each class to decide their new class and pay. The laborers get paid 10 cents , the cooks 25 cents , the merchants 50 cents , and the upper class gets paid a whopping $1.00. The showdown usually ends up with two classes back to back, to determine who will be first class. If everyone finishes the showdown in the given time everyone gets the prize offered. This decides the classes in the society.

Laws- A lot of the cook class didn't want to do their jobs by cooking and doing the dishes. The members from the upper classes had to help out the lower classes due to the lack of work In the lower classes. There are rules that are set that forbid certain classes to certain areas, like merchants aren't allowed in the chicken pin, only cooks and upper class is. A girl wanted to enjoy the chickens to herself, which caused trouble to the girl who was a merchant. Some kids continue to disobey laws.

Kid Nation Episode 1

The council showed they were the capitalists by deciding major decisions, while the town were the proletariats by listening to the councils decisions to do tasks. Class conflict came in when one of the council members wasn't participating in carrying supplies which made the other children aggravated. The older children showed power by thinking they can rule this town because of their strength and age.

Things About Myself

                                                                                                                           1717 W. Main St.
                                                                                                                           Festus, MO 63028
                                                                                                                           April 1, 2014

   Dear Mrs. DeBolt,

Hi! My name is Kaitlyn Rhyneer, your student for 2nd hour 7th grade technology! I am going to tell u some things about myself. First of all I love art and music and anything I can express myself with. Choir is my favorite class along with facs and art. When I'm at home I like to get my homework done as soon as possible, and then play on my phone, watch TV, or go outside if it's nice out.

My favorite food is basically burgers and fries. The burger I like plain with nothing on it only ketchup, its been this way as long as I could remember. I have a great family with two loving parents, a brother, and three adorable pets. I have a 5 month old weimaraner, a 6 year old golden retriever, and a twelve year old cat. My friends are very important to me, I like to hang out with them on the weekends, and just do fun stuff best friends do.

I have some experience in computers, but not much. Hopefully that will change in this class!
I have had computer classes over the 8 years I've been in school, but they never taught us to type with two hands without looks and just normal stuff I probably need to know. Having a phone and other electronic devices in the house has taught me some of the basics, but I really want to become a expert at computers and technology.

                                                                                                                    Sincerely,
                                                                                                                    Kaitlyn Rhyneer

What I Think About Video Games

I believe that video games do not make kids more violent. Video games might influence some kids to engage in violent instances, but for the most part many kids just find video games a fun thing to do on their free time. I myself am not a girl that plays video games but I don't mind people doing what they enjoy, and video games might be a way some kids enjoy themselves. With the tech world that we live in today video games are just a normal part of our society. So no, video games don't normally influence violence.

Kid Nation

In this show 40 kids go to a abandoned pioneer town and try to run it. There are no adults here and the kids are all on there own. There are 4 leaders and they are the town council. They are there for 40 days and they have to keep the town running properly. The council give 1 kid every week a gold star trophy for being the best kid in town. The oldest is 15 and the youngest is 8 years old. They have to get there own water and cook there own food. Nobody knows how to cook so the have to follow a recipe book. They don't have beds all they have is a thin mattress they have to put on the ground. They are trying to have a meeting, but nobody was listening. One of the kids Michael got control of the group and made a speech to the kids. They had to split the kids into four groups red, green, blue, and yellow. They kept the friends together and the ones that didn't get along separated them. They get paid to do jobs, but the pay is different for different jobs. They are doing s challenge where they have to fill three big bottles with there districts color water and get there pump past the finish line. The red team won and they are upper class. The blue district came in second and got merchants. The yellow came in third and got cooks. And the green came in last and got laborers. The higher up you are the more you get paid so you can buy more. Sophia really wanted a bike, but it costed $3 and she only gets paid 10 cents. So she danced for coins and got the bike.
Taylor is having a hard time in the city and she wants to leave, but she is a council member so if she leaves they would have to find a new council member. They are having a town meeting to see if any one wanted to go home and Jimmy was the only one who went home. The person who got the Gold Star this week is Sophia. The star is worth its weight in gold so she got $20,000 for whatever she wants to spend it on. Sophia got to call her mom to tell her about the money she won.

I think that it would be cool to do it, but also a little scary because there is no adults it is just you and 39 other kids and you have to trust them.

Sisters

Picture From Here

I have two sisters and I'm very lucky. Some people don't have sisters and that is sad. Even though they get on your nerves sometimes they will always be your best friend. They are always there for you no matter what. If you are having a bad day sometimes your sisters can cheer you up because they know you best. Both of my sisters are older than me and that is a good and bad thing. It is bad now because they have more privileges than me, but when I get older it will be really good because I can learn from their mistakes. It is good to know someone is looking out for you and that is what my sisters do. we may fight sometimes, but we will always be there for each other.

Things That Annoy Me

Picture From Here

The thing that bugs me the most is annoying people, like my neighbor he is so annoying! He always makes weird noises and lies all the time. He always follows what I do and it is so annoying. I hate when people talk to you like they think they are cooler than you and always rubbing something in your face. There are a lot of annoying people in this world and that bugs me! when my neighbor comes to my house I lock myself in my room and put in ear buds because I get so frustrated. He acts so annoying around me, but with my mom he acts like an angel so she doesn't understand why I think he is annoying. She always tells me to get over it but I can't he is so annoying! He comes up in the mornings because his mom has to go to work early so he comes up  and my mom takes him to school and he comes after school to!

Everyone Doesn't Need to be Special

Picture From Here

I don't think that everyone needs to be special because if everyone was special no one would be special. I think that Europe is right because everyone should be okay with being normal. The more special people there are the less they are special. There can be different kinds of special, but not everyone needs to be special.

My Brother

Picture From Here

When my brother was 2 hours old he stopped breathing and was turning blue. They had to rush him to Children's Hospital in St.Louis and they found out his food tube and his air tube were switched so he had to get open heart surgery at 1 day old. My mom found out but she had to stay in the hospital for a day because she just had a baby. My brother was in the hospital for about a month and a half and we barely got to see our mom and dad and my oldest sister was only 11 so we couldn't stay home by ourselves. We stayed with a different person every week and it was hard because we could only see him and our parents 3 or 4 times throughout the whole thing.

Neverland!

Tinkerbell and Peter Pan Wallpaper
Picture From Here

I would go through the second door which would lead me to Neverland. I would get to meet Peter Pan and Tinkerbell and fly around with them. I would get to see ll the creatures that live there. Wendy and her brothers would be there and we would meet and become good friends. I would love to be able to fly for a little bit and I would be able to do that in Neverland with Tinkerbell's fairy dust. we would all fly around for hours and it would be so fun. whenever we were lying around we would see Captain Hook and he would try to take us, but Tinkerbell gave us more fairy dust so we would just fly away. Captain Hook would get mad and try to fly but he would just fall in the water and  everyone would laug

The Thing I will never forget

Picture From Here

The thing I will never forget about being this age is when my family all went on vacation to Golf Springs, Alabama. we went in 2008 and all my family was there, it was really fun and we rented out a huge condo and stayed there for a week. There was one day we were at the beach and my aunt saw a bull shark in the water, so everyone ran out of the water and onto the beach. It was really scary. We also saw dolphins from our balcony, jumping out of the water and diving back in.

Verrückt Water Slide

Picture From Here

The Verrückt water slide is at least 17 stories tall, they say it is taller than the Statue of Liberty and Niagara Falls! The amusement park isn't releasing the measurement or the speed  of the slide until the day it opens. To get to the top you have to climb up 264 steps! Jeff Henry is the person who built it and he has built many water rides before, but he said that this is the best of his work by far. the rafts that you sit in to go down the slide can hold 4 people and they are made out of railroad tanker cars. This water slide opens May 23, 2014 for anyone brave enough to go down it!

Micro Windmills

Picture From Here
Jung-Chih Chiao, Electrical Engineering Professor at Texas University, invented the Micro Windmill when  he was thinking of ways to best capture the energy of the wind in his backyard without installing a big windmill. the windmill is 1.8 millimeters, so small that ten could fit into a grain of rice! They can be used for emergency chargers if your phone is dead and save many lives. They are really powerful and a few thousand could be used to power the lighting and communication of a family household. They are brainstorming with WinMems Technologies Co. to get it to the market, so one day soon we could have our own Micro Windmills!
